Signs of a duct problem
- One or two rooms get much less air than the rest
- Visible tears, gaps or peeling tape at a vent boot
- Air whistling or rattling near the ductwork
- Duct sections that have sagged, crushed or come loose
Repair or replace?
A loose connection or small leak can often be repaired and sealed. Old, crushed or badly damaged ductwork, which we often check for in older Santa Monica homes, may need replacing. We show you which sections are affected and give you a clear quote first.
Good to combine with cleaning
If you're already opening up the system, it can make sense to clean the ducts at the same time. An inspection will show you whether that's worthwhile.

Often, yes. We look at the condition of the surrounding duct before recommending a repair or replacement.
How do I know if my ducts are leaking?
Weak airflow in certain rooms and visible gaps at the boots are common clues. An inspection can identify the sections we can access.
